On Sunday, 08/12 I bought groceries to the value of R456.79 at Checkers, Brits Mall. The cashier helping me seemed to have trouble working with the card machine. I had to put in my pin twice as she said the amount did not go through the first time. I should have smelled a rat when she could only hand me a till slip and not the cardmachine printout. Upon my return home I discovered that the amount was deducted twice from my account. I had to go back to the supermarket, after getting statements at the ATM (at my own expense for a fault on your side). I gave the statements to the, I guess, 2IC as the MOD was not present??? But she said she could not help me because it was Sunday and sometimes the money reverses itself at midnight, even on a Sunday. I had to leave my statements with my phone number and they would rectify the mistake on Monday, if it hadn't reversed itself by then. She also could not give me a reference number. It is Monday now and the money has not been reversed. I suggest that you train your cashiers or at least your cashier supervisors on how to do a reprint of the last transaction that went through on the card machine.
