False advertising leads to much frustration

On Friday I received my clicks xmas gift guide, on the back page it advertisers that if you buy certain products at the Body shop you can get 3 x points for the articles. As it was Click's weekend for double points I thought ok lets go and buy the xmas presents. I went to the Greenstone Branch and purchased some goodies. When I got to the counter I was told you must now have their own card and do not accept clicks cards. I tried to explain to the lady but she was adamant. I duly paid for my goods even though I was not happy.
I logged a complaint on Clicks customer service website on Monday and they have not even had the decency to contact me to date. Yesterday I phoned their call centre and was told very curtly by the agent that only if the Body Shop is housed in a Clicks shop are you entitled t o get the points.

Now nowhere in the guide does it state this. I have been a clicks card holder for a very long time and this type of false advertising is very disappointing. If it is advertised, a client should be able to obtain the points no matter if it is at the clicks store or at its affiliate.
