NIGHT MARE OF OPENING AN IN STORE CARD

I opened a Woolworths acc and my first payment was due on the 5th Nov-I thus made payment in adv & paid acc in full on the 31/10.I then got a call on the 12/11 stating an outstanding account? I sent through the requested proof of payment to email address given to me and furthermore logged into my online banking and sent back up proof to the woolworths financial services email address as per their website. This agent assured me that the problem will not happen again next month as I had paid with the correct reference number. I then received a statement on the 14th which showed head office interest charged but reflected no payment on my account so I once again emailed to query and once again sent through proof of payment on the 16th. Its now the 19th and still received no feedback so I called the contact centre to be told its handed over and was put through to their credit department who tells me to once again send through proof of payment because payment was in the wrong account? I had also asked requested that this card be cancelled if it has charges and was ignored every time. There is NO point of in opening this card-just buy on bank credit/debit card to avoid unnecessary interest
