We went to Checkers Hyper yesterday to do our weekly shopping. One thing that we wanted to buy was some vegetables. We went over to the peppers section and as usual the quality of the food was disgusting. The food was rotten and there were flies all around. This didn't't surprise us as this is always the case. We decided to buy a red and green pepper that was already packaged as they looked fresher. When we cut it open today to cook with, we saw that it was rotten on the inside. This was exactly the same with the onions we bought. My boyfriend often complains to the management of the store and points out all the rotten food on the shelves. At times the food has already got mold on it. How long does it have to sit on the shelves before someone from management has enough self respect and care for their store to remove it?
I am absolutely horrified with the quality of food in this store and unfortunately this seems to be a trend throughout most of the checkers stores that we have been to. Are you going to wait until someone gets seriously ill? I for one am happy that we have alternative stores to shop at and I know that I am not alone in my thinking.
