My husband bought me a Gobii reader for Christmas 2011.When I started using the Gobii, first thing I noticed was that the battery ran flat quite quickly, even while the Gobii was switched off, it used battery power, but I kept on using it, loved it. In April the charger started to give issues, but I still kept on using it. End of November the charger barely worked and start December did not work at all. Not sure how policies work with Kalahari, I first purchased another charging cable which did not work. I then emailed Kalahari for assistance, unfortunately for me, reported it too late, as out of warranty. Kalahari proposed that they will collect the reader and send it away for a quote for the charger, could not tell me the costs, and I did not want to take the risk. September made a proposal that I should perhaps buy another Gobii. I was not happy with that, so he gave me another option for a USB cable, which I bought, received last night, but also not working. I spent money and time on this. This is really frustrating and disappointing, and I cant use the Gobii, since December. Does this mean, it works only for a year and after warranty Kalahari does not care? And that you must just then buy a new product?
