In december last year I bought a Sansui HDMI DVD player at a cost of /-R550. On the 2nd november the dvd player switched off and wont come on, On the 3rd (Mon), I had foned the call centre on 0860 459 459. I had explained that the till slip was lost but the dvd player was bought in sprinfield park, durban in december last year and still within its 12 month warranty period. I told the guy (Black Male) that the box and warranty card for the dvd player was in the box. Was advised that if the box and dvd player was returned then hi-fi corp could actually trace the transaction by means of scanning of the barcode on the box. I asked the guy to confirm this again and he had confirmed this over the telephone but told me that springfield park had closed down and I should take it to the store in galleria (toti)
Today 6 november 2013, I had sent the unit with my sister. My sister was given the run around so she had called me and asked me to explain the above to the worker leanne. After doing this I was told that I cant return the unit because hi fi corp needed my bank card number which i offered to provide, after which sasha pillay (0319048606) took the fone and refused to assist
