Latest HiFi Corp pamphlet valid 24 - 27 January 2013 top left hand corner has a car radio for R399.99 Sansui USB/CD/MP3 Player. There was obviously no stock so we asked if it could be ordered for us at the same price, which they said yes.
Then the guys casually said why don't you take the R699 one because it has a CD player (on page 2 middle bottom of the same pamphlet). So we said why would we, when this one for R399.99 also has a CD player. He argued with us that it did not.
So I showed him the advert and asked what part of Sansui USB/CD/MP3 Player did he not understand. O' that's a mistake, there is no CD player. So I said this was false advertising and I was merely told to read the fine print on the back of the pamphlet. And it was not his problem but that of the bosses.
"HiFi Corp takes utmost care to ensure that all advertisements are correct. If a mistake occurs or incomplete information is printed, we will display a notice in-store with all the correct details. " We went to the car radio section and there was no notice stating a print error had occurred and there of course was not stock either.
Pathetic customer servvice.
