Last week Friday I applied for an account at Donna Claire, Blue Route. They asked me to fill in a form, they'll send it away, and let me know. Saturday they phoned me to confirm my financial details as filled in on the form. Today, after not hearing from them again, I phoned to ask what's happened, and they said that my account application has been declined because of affordability. They have asked me for NO proof of income or expenditures. They have not taken into account my husband or his income. I have had an Edgars account for more than 10 years, which is paid up. My Credit card is in the black. My husband and I have just bought a house, which apparently the Credit Bureau found acceptable. When asked what the company criteria are for acceptance, their reply was that it's confidential. Apparently they just don't want me to buy from them.
