I have already put my complaint forward to the regional manager in East London and did receive and apology from them. However, I would like the complaint to reach out further. There was a black and white rug at the store which I really wanted. It was the last one. I was not sure if I would have enough cash as I still needed to buy some groceries from the Spar, so I asked the cashier if she could keep it for me. The cashier then said she would need to call her manageress, Li-anne. Li-anne (in her own sweet time) eventually popped her head over her cubicle and explained it was a promotional item and could not keep. I was disappointed, but understood. I rolled the rug up and placed back. I hurried to spar, bought my goods, had enough cash and returned not even 10 minutes later to collect the rug. It was gone!! I looked around and eventually asked the cashier if she had sold the rug I wanted. She said definitely not and should be on shelf. Li-anne was walking around the store floor and watching me, but never came forward to assist me. Eventually I said to her that the rug was missing and the cashier had not sold it! Did it not worry her??? She smiled at me and walked away!
