I entered a Beacon competition which clearly states you can win cash and gadgets. I won and was sent a list of prizes you can win. I can choose three categories (fun day, beauty treatment and extreme sport). They then choose one item out of the three categories (examples of activities - stargazing, ice skating, botanical garden, museums, mani or pedi). They also only give you one voucher, you must go alone or pay for a partner. It also sounds like you must go get the voucher in Sandton. This is taking time and petrol, it would be easier to buy my own ticket to go to the botanical garden. I read their terms and conditions that clearly state there prices are different cash prizes you claim from an ABSA ATM or a gadget. The prize they offered is not according to their terms and conditions. This is misrepresentation. I am more disappointed than if i had won nothing!
Is there any legal steps I can take against them?
They can keep their prize. Ridiculous! Stick to Cadbury!!
