Pick 'n Pay
*We don't understand the term 'ANY'*

On Friday 25/10/13 I visited my local Pick n Pay to buy some of the SPUR bottled sauces they have on offer. According to the ad, you can buy ANY TWO SPUR sauces for R30. I decided to take two of the SPUR French Fry Dressing.

When I got to the till, the sauces scanned at the normal shelf price. After telling the lady that it was on offer, I was told that I have to take one Barbecue and one other sauce. I then told them that the ad states ANY TWO sauces. ANY meaning I'm allowed to take TWO of the same should I wish to.

Today I went back and THE SAME THING HAPPENED and then the front-of-house manager decided to join in on telling me that I HAVE TO TAKE ONE BARBECUE.

I would suggest that Pick n Pay Wellington TEACH THEIR ILLITERATE STAFF TO READ AND COMPREHEND properly. I've had it with their unprofessional behaviour. I don't believe that of 'the client is always right', but when an AD STATES certain terms, I think it would be wise to make sure you actually KNOW what's GOING ON, before you make AN ABSOLUTE FOOL of yourself.
