I get take out from Utah Spur in Milnerton every month or two. The previous time i ordered 2 kiddies cheese burgers, with extra cheese. After driving to pick up my order, i drove back home, only to discover that there was not a single slice of cheese on either burger. I phoned the manager and informed him. He apologised and informed me that on my next order, one burger would be free. I thought this was fair.
On Sunday evening, i ordered 600g ribs, a bacon avo salad and crumbed chicken burger, at a total of R315. I also purchased 500ml Spur sauces @ R17.95 and R24.95. I also asked for cheddarmelt sauce for the burger, as what child would want to eat a dry burger? They gave me cheese sauce and mushrooms sauce, which each cost R17.95 each!!! This tiny pot of sauce is the same price as 500ml of BBQ sauce???
I think it is pathetic that Spur can charge so much for a roughly 80ml of sauce, which is mixed together from a packet. I would understand if it was made from scratch.
I was not going to beg for the free burger as well, and i didn't receive it as promised (the manager supposedly made a note of it).
Maybe next time i should just get Mikes Kitchen... as they don't seem to rob me
