I bought a lounge suit at House and Home Festival mall branch in Kempton Park last year November. When the furniture arrived I realised that there was a problem with the stitching, however I did not read much into this. Little did I know that those stitches will later open, and also along the stitch line the lounge suit would tear. I reported this to the store within the first 4 months, it was taken in for repares, when it took more than a month for it to come back and when it did it was having the same initial defect. I took it back and it took another month before it could return. I then told them that I don't want the furniture anymore and this is in line with m consumer rights which states that if furniture is returned for repares within 6 months and when it comes back it gives issues again within 3 months I am entitled to get my money back. I have dealt with the store manager a number of times and all he does is give me attitude and he tells me he will only repare it. My wife took it up to the head office but we are still not receiving any help. Instead they are telling me my door is too small and that I am using chemicals to clean the furniture and all this is not true.
