We purchased a genuine leather "Bari" lounge suite in Oxblood colour from Furniture City which cost us R24, 498.00 for 2 x 2 division couches & 1 x 1 division couch. We thought we had bought a good quality leather lounge suite that would last us for years to come and still look as good as the day we bought it, how wrong we were!!
Ten months down the line we started noticing that the leather had faded very badly and this despite it being kept well away from direct sunlight and being well looked after. We reported the matter to the branch where the lounge suite was purchased and they got their rep out to our house to inspect the couches. They decided it was a manufacturers default and subsequently exchanged the lounge suite.
We are now on the second lounge suite and EXACTLY the same thing has started to happen but the problem we are now sitting with is that Furniture City REFUSE to exchange the lounge suite for a second time as they say the warranty has expired! The very fact that the lounge suite has already been replaced once & a manufacturer's defect was to blame tells me this make of lounge suite is inferior quality. I want an explanation as this is just not acceptable!
