On 14/10/13 I took a pair of pliers from their shelf and the price on it was five rand (R5.00). When I approached the till to pay Stephanie the cashier, informed me that the pair of pliers was already sold. She then called someone to check if there was a similiar pair pliers on the shelf after more than five minutes of waiting another gentleman behind the counter informed me that no code was found on the system for the pliers and that the lady that was responsible for codes on the goods was not on duty at that time. I then asked him if he meant that I must return for the pliers but did not answer. I then made him aware of the time that I waited to get their house in order and that I have to leave without the goods that I wanted to buy and how bad their service is. He then informed me that unfortunately that there was nothing he could do as his boss was not on the premises. As usual they were sorry for the inconvenience whilst talking to him he removed the price tag from the pliers. I then left the store.
I guess it is one of those stories that will remain mysterious as I do not know what to believe. Was I to believe Stephanie or the gentleman that removed the price tag?
