Deadlines - Successfully Ruined my Weekend

Hi

Perhaps you need to do some training when it comes to managing expectations.
Its Marketing/Customer service 101, people don't mind delays if you keep them informed.

I was informed yesterday that my new laptop would be delivered on the 11th October 2012 between 09h00 and 15h00, I became skeptical and thought I would just phone to get more information at 13h00 to make sure everything was still on track... and low and behold apparently my delivery never made it onto a truck/plane and it might be delivered sometime next week.

What the am I supposed to do now? I have work commitments that I would never have made as I was working on the assumption it would arrive today. I'm sick of hearing this about third world country nonsense.

I need someone to make a plan. Today.

Please dont send me an automated response. Its not home time yet.
