I ordered an IPad through FNB and was told to expect delivery between Mon 14 Jan & Wed 16 Jan. After nothing came, I called and was informed delivery will only be made Fri 18 Jan or Mon 21 Jan due to stock availability.
I then spoke to Earl van Jaarsveld (Escalations Manager at Digital Planet) directly on 16 Jan where I explained that although I can understand delays due to stock availability, the fact that no-one bothered to call me about the delivery changes and that I had to shuffle meeting around to be here to receive the delivery, is unacceptable.
He apologized and told me he has sent a unit down from Johannesburg to PE with overnight delivery and assured me I would have my IPad today 17 Jan between 8 & 12.
By now, being a bit skeptical about their promises, I phoned again to confirm only to be told that the unit was not shipped yesterday and I might only receive the unit tomorrow. Again, not notice of this whatsoever.
I am still waiting for a reply from Earl as he was in a meeting when I phoned.
I am at a loss to the lack of interest Digital Planet shows its customers and cannot believe that FNB continues to use them in the face of all the complaints received.
