Hi
I went to Checkers Hyper in Vanderbijlpark this morning, and went directly to their "sale specials" department. They put everything there that are maybe damaged, or expired, or for whatever reason, marked down.
I came in and saw a nice wooden patio-table, CLEARLY MARKED R250 with the distinctive RED sticker.
I talked with the department manager, unfortunately don't have his name, but he refused to give me the table, and he said the price sticker must have been put there "by accident". I literally begged him to let me have it, but he just said NO.
This is not right, and I was very unhappy. Stuff that are there, are for sale. At previous occasions I took stuff from there, and at the till they refused to sell it to me, and said it must have been put there "by accident". This is really not very professional.
This may sound very stupid, that I can go on about a stupid table, but honestly - when you go to a shop, you check for bargains, and you see things legally on the floor, and then they refuse to sell it! How is that possible? Why put it there?
Why don't they rather close that department, if nobody can manage it correctly?
Kindest regards
Rene de Bee
