DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL

The top element in my 900mm whirlpool burnt out 4 weeks ago. My local appliance repair shop ordered spares from Whirlpool but when they arrived nearly 3 weeks later they were for a 600mm stove.
We checked and confirmed the serial number of the oven against the order.
The service provider stated that this was typical of Whirlpool and that he could no longer undertake repairs on their appliances
I called the whirlpool customer service division & booked a call out. They were due to come today.
At 2:45 i called to find out when the technician would be coming to be told that he had ordered the parts and would do the work when they were available. The CS clerk did not feel that it was necessary to call me to inform me of this development.
I asked to speak to her supervisor - she was still out to lunch - at a quarter to 3!!
I asked to speak to the managing director - a mr Gansn - but he was also still out "at a meeting'
I asked to speak to anybody at managerial level - they were all out.

So my advice to everybody is - Don't buy Whirlpool, they do not keep spares in stock and their Customer service division appears to consist of one lady and a list of placatory excuses
