On Friday I went to Clicks for lipstick. As I walked in the front door almost right in front there is a HUGE revlon stand advertising Lipsticks - "buy one for R110 and get one free" The slogan is massive. I chose a shade I really like and took another as my free sample and went to pay for it at the till. When I recieved my slip I quickly checked it as I do and noticed i was charged R10 more. I queried it with the teller and brought to his attention the display stand advertising them for R110 and NOT R120. A lady standing next to him quickly added that she was in "management" for the weekend and that Revlon puts their own prices on but that "Clicks price is R120" I also showed her the board which was almost parallel to us. again she said "yes I see, but thats Revlons price and Clicks' price is different" I became very annoyed and told her that it is highly illegal according to the CPA and considered false advertising to advertise one price but charge another... she refused to budge and gave me that "well take it or leave it" look. NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER!!! surely it cannot be right to advertise one price and then randomly charge another...
