THEY REFUSE TO ADJUST MY ACCOUNT TO 36MNTHS

On 18 August I phoned Game accounts dept to arrange for my account to be moved from 24 to 36 mnths so that the installment is not so high. I was promised that it will be done, no problem. so i payed 400 instead of 750, to my suprise they send me a nasty letter demanding the 750plus another addded interest on top of their normal 21%.
I called them to enquire about this, I was suddenly told that I must wait until my account is in arrears before i can do any payment arrangement, is this legal? what are my rights as consumer, at least am paying them.
so my account was on arrears, when i phoned they said still no arrangement has been made and that I must come up with the total amount as no arrangement can be made since i bought on the account in that month and that I must first pay 3 months installment before my instalment can adjusted to 36mnths. I made the payment of the arrears and I still get threatning telephone calls from your unskilled accounts depart (sorry to say) demanding money from me. I now request that I am given the settlement amount so that I pay all the money i owe you, and loose me as a valid customer (who at least pays you). I paid another R416 on friday by eft.managm
