Got a Seagate hd in May. Beginning of August the hd just went dead.

Took it in and Incredible connection told me they had to send it in and see what will happen. After about 2 weeks I got a call saying that my hd was replaced but all the data was lost.

I collected the new hd on the 25/08.

Today the new one just went DEAD again had it for almost a month.

Now I've been told by the people at the shop in Bayside that this happens when you move the hd while it is working. I also was told that you are not allowed to move your laptop when it is on because it can damage the hd. THAT IS A LOT OF BULLSHIP. It that was true then I had to replaced my laptops hd about 5000 times in the last 2 years.

I do not have the SLIP from the last replacement.

Now I sit with a HD that I cannot give back or do anything with it.

I would like to have my money back so I can get a HD from some place (not Seagate) that will work for longer than 2 - 3 months.

Now I will have to get a backup for my backup. Lost all my data AGAIN.
