About 2 months ago my sister in law went shopping at the Sunningdale Pick n Pay branch. She had just been to shop at woolworths and she had the woolworth packets in her trolley (security didnt seal the packets). While shopping her 13 year old daughter proceeded to put items in her trolley as well as herself. She then got a business call and then proceeded to the checkout. (still on the phone). She paid and walked out but unknown to her some items had fallen amongst the woolworths packets and security spotted them (obviously not hidden). He then interrogated her and asked her for her slip and obviously it wasnt on the slip. She told them to go to the cctv footage to show that it was not deliberate. ( they couldnt see anything) They then called the police and chucked her in jail. Surely pick n pay make sure before they take steps like that. I work with many reatailers and install lots of cctv and never ever have i seen a situation handled like that
