Cannot receive flight discount with Mango

I have been calling Mango and Edgars continuously to check why when I do an online flight booking, no discount pulls through. When I call airline, the discount shows up, but not on the website (Remember, direct bookings via tele are more pricey, so whats the use of this 'service'). I've been told by a rep at Edgars last week its because I am not using my VIP card, which is a blatant lie, as the VIP card does not have a 16 digit card number. Exasperated! Can no one do a deep dive and figure out what the ACTUAL problem is???
