Homechoice
FALSE ADVERTISING

My name is Marion Bannister. I am a pensioner and have previously made use of Home Choice's order service. On 31st July I received a call from a telesales lady from Home Choice stating that they were running a competition of which a prize of no less than R500-00 or a television/fridge/other advertised appliances was guaranteed should I order from the August catalogue and that whatever prize I won would be included in the delivery of my order. I stated that it was 31st July and not yet August but the telesales person confirmed that the prize was still guaranteed. I then placed an order (number 68390623). The order was received 10 days later without a prize. I called Home Choice to ask why I had not received a guaranteed prize and was informed by Customer Service in a very rude manner that I should wait until end of August as I may have won a bigger prize. As I still had not received anything by the end of August, I emailed Customer Care at Home Choice on 3 September 2013 and spoke to Willene van Zyl and she responded on 3rd September to say she had handed the enquiry over to Ihtishaam to provide me with feedback. To date I have not received a response.
