Last week I was phoned by someone from JD Group (Morkels) to say that I qualify for a personal loan with them and I confirmed it and I was told to go to one of the branches with my documents etc. How they found out I was looking for a loan, I don't know. Anyways, on sunday I went to morkels furniture in gugulethu mall to try for 1. The guy that assisted me (jabu) took out a phone and applied via their mobi site to see if I qualify. An sms came in saying: "Your Morkels application is conditionally approved for an estimate R 20000 over 24 mths. Please bring ID and proof of income. TandCs apply". Jabu then took my documents (payslip, bank statements etc) to continue with this. I was told to wait. Yesterday afternoon I went back to the store after phoning to get feedback and still there was nothing. This morning I phoned again numerous times and still there was nothing. I had to phone the head ofiice to get feedback. Now all of the sudden I'm told that I've been declined because I'm a high risk etc. My question that I asked was why was I approved then in the 1st place? I mean they had my I'd number, salary etc. Now I've wasted my airtime being tranfered all over their call center.
