Had my Foschini's account for a couple of years. Allowed 6 months, NO INTEREST to pay and had to pay by the 7th of each month. Always paid my account promptly to avoid interest and paid MORE than the installment! Went to pay full balance today (even though I only need to do it next month) and all of a sudden they added interest. When I queried this in store, I was told that the account now all of a sudden has to be paid by the 1st of each month. Never advised me about it. Called customer service whom was rude and said they changed it 2 years ago that payment must be on the 1st! Stated that I've always paid on/before the 7th with no interest and now all of a sudden interest is added, thus could not have been 2 years ago! No interest was added last month or the month before! Was told that she had to speak to her manager, but that I HAD to pay the interest! If this is how they do business I am not 'interested'. Foschini's, after all of these years, you can take your account and shove it!
