In June this year I bought a Samsung laptop from Makro Cape Gate, only to have to return it later the same day due to some malfunction. I was forced to choose another model as my first choice had been sold out. After just 2 months of use the motherboard crashed on the 2nd laptop and I was instructed by Samsung SA to return it to Makro for a new laptop (in terms of the CPA). As you can imagine I had been extremely frustrated throughout the process as I was without a computer for more than 2 weeks. I opted to go to the Montague Gardens store as I was in the area, but the return policy at Makro required loads of checking and double checking, plus phone calls to Samsung head office, all taking about an hour while I waited.
When I could finally take a credit note into the store I was quite impatient, but my irritation soon dissipated when I met Graham Booysen. He was an absolute gentleman, very understanding of my problem and proceeded to assist me to select a replacement which I had decided wouldn't be a Samsung. He pointed out all the comparisons with my previous laptop and gave me solid advice, and then offered to reload all the software for me as an extra courtesy. Awesome service!
