This took me a whole day of contemplating on how to complain in a civil manner and not lose my cool or cuss like a trooper. Yesterday morning, I broke my account card, accidentally, in 2 and thought the quickest and best way was to go to my normal branch and get a new card. No problem? It was for all intents and purposes no problem at all, barring that I didn't feel well and didn't feel like waiting in-store to speak to someone on the phone, Seeing that I know the manager personally, I left my id book, plus my broken card in the shop and went to a restaurant..on the same floor. Lo and behold after half an hour I was told, they wanted to speak to me, on the phone and refused to issue a new card!!! What utter nonsense, the manageress had all the details they needed and I could've asked anyone to speak on my behalf, as if they would even have known who I was? At this stage I am mad enough to cancel my account, as I don't see why this became such an issue???
