I would like to report the appalling service that I have received both from Furniture City and African Bank. I have had no joy, all thanks to them.
In March 2013 I went to Furniture City for a couch and Home theatre, which would be on account. The home theatre was scratched and had a disc in it, so I took it back and wanted to cancel the home theatre, taking only the couch. they advised that they would then have to cancel that account, and open a new one that only reflected the couch.
I thought that things were sorted out. From May I started applying for financing for a vehicle, because I need it for my job, and I just never understood why my apps kept being rejected - reason, I had overcommitted myself financial. I only have 1 account, so I didn't understand why I kept getting that response.
I decided to request my credit report, and to my surprise, the first account is reflecting on my report - R11 320, reflecting as being in a COOLING OFF SETTLEMENT. Furniture City points at African bank and vise verse. Simphiwe Msomi (African Bank) logged a request to update ITC but even after the turn around time, I am still in the same situation.
I WILL NEVER USE THEIR SERVICES EVER AGAIN!
