Makro Woodmead is not concerned about delivering quality customer service. At 10am there were only 8 cashiers manning the tills causing a long queue that snaked beyond the impulse lines in the queue system. I had to wait for over 30mins in the queue, which I would have been prepared to live with if all the cashier stations had been staffed at the time. When I complained to the queue marshall, he said that it was due to management cutting costs by reducing cashiers. I enquired if the long queue had been brought to the attention of the management to which he replied that they were aware of the long queue. The management should therefore not be surprised if they cut customers along with costs. I will be looking for another supplier as my time is too valuable to spend in needless queues.
