I took my Tag watch in for a repair, to Cherry Designs. I forgot to hand in my warranty and told them I would bring it in another day. Which I did. In the meantime, I paid R1150 for the postage and they sent it off to JHB to get repaired.
The watch was then returned to Cherry Designs and I was called to come in a collect it.
When I got to the shop, Priscilla told me that due to me handing in the warranty late, my warranty was not valid. but that she would try and sort it out with the JHb company.
I was not allowed to take my watch unless I was happy to pay the additional R1500 for repairs or otherwise I should wait for her to sort it out.
I went into the shop almost every second week to follow up - but was told the same thing every time, that it was a lengthy process. But if I wanted to pay, I could have the watch immediately.
I eventually called the JHb company and the person knew nothing of what I was talking about and asked me to send the copy of the warranty and she would reverse the charges. It was done and I got my watch back. But I got a "we don't really care if we lose you as a client, we've many others", from Mr Cherry.
