I would like to voice my concern with the Cycle Lab Somerset West branch. In December I fitted tubeless tyres on my MTB, it took them 2 months and 3 re-visits to get it right. Today, I returned a road tube I bought from the shop on Saturday, the valve split in half when I tried to pump it up for the first time next to the road. Because of the broken valve I had to walk 5 km as this was my only spare tube. When I bought the tube I said to the salesman that I do not require a till slip as I am a regular and spent thousands at their shop in the past. Today the manager told me that he will have to send this off to the suppliers first and might take a couple of days, although anyone can clearly see that it was a default in the product. He also told me that I have no form of complaining for service or default in products beyond him as he is the manager, is this also true even though Cycle Lab is a chain and well known for good quality service, bikes and parts?
