On the 02nd of August 2013, instead of Pick 'n Pay Pharm to get my son's medication as per the script at Dischem Centurion Mall - Upper Level Heuwel ave closer to the Gautrain station where I had to pick up my wife.
I stood in a cue for almost 7 minutes, Assisted by a lady pharmacist at counter 10, who asked me if I wanted Generic or Original, and explained that the Generic to be cheaper but does the same "Job". I then chose Generic since I was paying cash.
She went back to mix the meds and came back then tallied the amount and said "It will be R622.28"
I took the meds cage and went to pay at the cashier. I then left Dischem at about 17h06 for Gautrain station.
Upon arrival my wife looked into the Meds bag and exclaimed that the Generic Banana flavour antibiotic dispensed was the one that our son has reacted to previously. At 17h31 I called Dischem (012-663 9363) from my wife's cell phone and a lady answered. I asked for Pharmacy, spoke to a lady who said I must ask for Dewald when in store. I did but Dewald de Ridder was not helpful because he said I had to pay for original.
He chased me away as I wrote his name down. Spent sleepless night, off to Pick 'n Pay Pharm for service.
