Bought a Defy fridge from Tafelberg Furnishers on the 19/05/2013. After a week or two realised there was a problem with the freezer. Was told by Tafelberg to contact Defy Appliances Cape Town and have a Technician check it out. This happened after a about 10days from my call. The problem was "no gasket" on the door. (How did this pass quality control is a mystery). 18days later a new gasket arrived and was fitted, but the problem continues. Another phone call to Ismail, this time requesting a new fridge. I was told a technician would once again be sent out to check out the problem.2 days later am still waiting for the technician. Are they stalling so my guarantee runs out. If this problem is not sorted out in the next 7 days, I will be contacting the Consumer Council.
