I bought two Defy fridges within the last two years and both gave me problems. A small bar fridge stopped working after 8 months. After a battle to get the service department to send a tech out he replaced the thermostat. Ever since the fridge freezes everything regardless of the thermostat setting. It is now used as a freezer as I'm not prepared to brave the service department again. The second appliance is a double door fridge freezer combo. The freezer basket slides are poor quality plastic which broke within the first month. It was however replaced by Defy free of charge. Now we handle it very softly to make sure it lasts longer. The freezer side now stopped working. I decided to get a local service tech in and not use Defy's incapable service guys. The independent tech said he repairs Defy fridge freezers on a daily basis and the combo is a regular culprit.
Come on Defy get your act together and bring back the quality appliances we were used to.
For now I'm done with Defy and will never buy any of their products again. And it seems I'm not alone if I read all the complaints. Lets vote them out with our purses.
