On Saturday at about 9:30am my husband and I experienced truly bad service from Woolworths Canal Walk. We approached the pay area in the women's section only to find there was no staff to assist us. My husband went around the corner to see if anyone could help us only to find a group of staff members sitting and having a conversation. They told my husband to go to customer services or find another pay point. We then went down stairs only to find another pay area vacated. I approached a staff member who told me that the pay area was also still closed and must go find another one. With total frustration, I threw the items I wanted to buy on the floor and decided to go spend my money some where else.

As a repeat customer, I'm totally disgusted with the service at this specific store and actually refuse to go there again. Why is it that I must walk all over the shop in search of a teller so that I can pay for my goods while staff sit having a fat chat? This is not the first time I have experienced such poor service at Woolworths Canal Walk. If they cannot assist customers at that time then the shop should not be open at all. It is anything but an upmarket retail store like they are.
