Yesterday I decided to try out the famous Steakhouse range from Checkers... only to get home and be disgusted when I opened the bag and was confronted by the most horrendous smell ever - the meat was rotten.
I immediately called the store to report this incident. The person I spoke to had the cheek to tell me that customers often get confused by the smell as their meat is matured for so much longer. With all due respect, thats an insult to my intelligence. Goes on to tell me I should cook it and taste it and if still not happy I can bring it back.
I could not bear the smell for more than 5 seconds - and only after telling him this repeatedly did he finally say bringt the meat in tomorrow for a refund.
