3 months back I was notified by my bank FNB that I had an account on the Credit Bureau that HomeChoice had placed there. This confused me as I had never opened any account of any sort with HomeChoice and the details on this account did not match any of my details with the exception of the ID number. I then went to Home Affairs to verify that the ID number had never been duplicated. Home Affairs gave me my verification letter all set with my thumb prints proving that the ID number was solely mine. I then contacted HomeChoice with this information. They told me to fax all my documents to a lady by the name of Waseemah, and I did. A month went by and when I called HomeChoice again to check how far they were with the investigation of how and who opened this account Waseemah said she does not know what I am talking about and told me to resend the documents. On this occassion i requested an email address and explained to her that I'd need a reply to confirm receipt. I emailed her and she did respond. Its been another 3 weeks and I am still waiting for a resolution. Now while I wait this account remains on the Credit Bureaus records and is making my name look bad as a debtor.
