Do not have a Homechoice account

I received a call from Homechoice on Friday 19/4/13 wanting to share their current specials. I told the sales consultant that I am not interested and when she asked why I basically told her I am not in a financial position to place myself in debt. Today, when checking my post I find a Homechoice catalogue along with a covering letter addressed to me and stating my account number???! How in heaven's name are you allocated an account number when 1) You've never opened an account and 2) You've never ever done business less corresponded with Homechoice before. Please explain this to me as I am bafffled. How would you even obtain my contact details???!! I am shocked and in my opinion this is illegal! I initially opted to contact you telephonically but think querying on a public forum as 'Hello Peter' is proper so that the public can become aware of such practice.
