I have been shopping at Checkers in Moreleta Plaza, The Village and Park View, Moreleta Park for numerous years as they are conveniently located for me. The norm is to experience rude, incompetent and inefficient staff. The staff generally give the impression that the customer is disrupting or disturbing their day. Today, 17/07/2013, I visited the Moreleta Plaza Checkers to do grocery shopping. I was pleasantly surprised when I went to the cashier (Sibongile), to pay. She treated me with the utmost respect, assisted me in redeeming eezi coupons and processed my entire transaction with extreme efficiency and professionalism. She was totally concentrated on her work and concluded the sale very speedily even though there were no customers after me. The numbers at the bottom of my till slip is C0110 #0091 11:24:00 170713 S000521 R06 . I would like to applaud Sibongile on her exceptional performance. I went to her supervisor to convey my good experience. Upon asking if she was the supervisor, she rudely started walking away, expecting a complaint. Upon hearing that it was a compliment, she stopped and thanked me. Please get more staff with Sibongile's customer care skills.
