Please help

My husband bought an LCD samsung TV and a playstation on account at Hi-fi... at the time of the contract we were told that we have 4yrs insurance agains, damages etc... during the contract time we paid every month on time never skipped any month, two months ago my hubby decided to settle the account... no body told us that in doing so we forfeiting the "4yrs" insurance we had on the goods. yesterday somebody broke into our house and goods amongst them was the tv and the ps3..we called the head office of HI-Fi they first told us they need an affidavit and all..but when we called for the second time they say we forfeited the insurance as a result goods will not be replaced... we asking the higher people at Hi-Fi to pls contact us and help us with this matter... we paid more money settling this account than the original price..its painful to know we did that for nothing.pls any body help worse of all we dont have house hold insurance meaning that we at a very big loss...
