Insurance not supplied on goods

On 18/02/2013 my house was broken into, they broke through the security gate and un bolted my 42' tv from the wall

i took my contract to the store, who informed me they cant help, as i need a further insurance policy
to help me, which was not offered, now im left with paying for a tv i dont have on HP
