I bought, what I was told as the best bed (made by Serta factory in SA) from BedKing Somerset West 6 years ago. We spent the next 10 months in the USA. When we finally slept on bed, we both got backache, we turn and rotated the mattress every week & finally asked the Bed Company to look at it. They sent a man out, who looked, said he saw no problem and anyway we should have complained within the 1st 3 months, if we wanted to change. We spent more time out of SA, back and forth. In the US we slept well in SA we had sore backs. We thought stress related. Finally we settled back & sore backs did not recover, but we noticed when we moved the bed to the guest room that the inside grey material was showing through the outside cover. Contacted Bed King and they said, if I pay over R3000 they will replace mattress. They said my guarantee was only 2 years and the 15 year warranty does not cover this. Now sleeping on guest bed, with no sore back & it only cost R5000 & has shorter warranty. I have 25 year old Sealy Posturpedic bed in grandkids bedroom, that they all jump on, have peed on, have cried on and is still going strong and no one gets back ache. Companies say - Normal wear & tea
