Reject clothes in the store

I purchased a pair of jeans. put it on and a few minutes later noticed a flaw on the fabric so i went to the store and showed it to the manager. she asked me cut off the cotton but i refused to do so. i purchased another pair of jeans immediately so i could return the reject jean. when i returned it she said it would take up to two weeks for feed back because it has to be sent for quality check. but items in the store were supposed to be quality checked BEFORE it can be put on the floor for sale and not after a customer purchases it. when i called the TRUWORTHS head office i spoke to Natasha to inquire why reject items were on the floor for sale i was told that every item were supposed to be checked at the till point before it can be sold to a customer, which has never happened with any of my purchases. its been a week already and i haven't got any feed back from the store manager.
