On the 21st of August I returned a pair of J Exchange jeans to edgars Killarney. this was the third pair of jeans that had broken on the first wearing and were a replacement for a pair that had been returned a week before all for zip and button issues.
The manager refused to replace or refund them, basically accused me of lying, suggesting that I was damaging the jeans on purpose and said that they would have to be sent for 'quality assurance'. I was not interested in this; it is my right as a consumer to have them replaced or refunded. I demanded that he phone head office and he refused. At this point I lost my temper and started shouting at which point he threatened me saying "How dare you shout at me? NOBODY shouts at me".
I emailed edgars customer care and was given a completely unsatisfactory response. I emailed back demanding a formal apology from that manager and that a replacement pair of jeans be delivered to me. I have received no response. I have followed up twice.
THIS IS ALL UNACEPTABLE. THE QUALITY OF THEIR PRODUCTS IS POOR. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY I WAS THREATENED BY A STORE MANAGER IN FRONT OF HIS CUSTOMERS AND STAFF AND AM YET TO EVEN RECEIVE AN APOLOGY.
