On Sun 26 May 2013 we ordered furniture from Rochesters in Port Elizabeth. We paid in full, R25, 238 incl delivery fees. We were served by Godfrey Mphofele. We mentioned the delivery address was on the 11th floor. We were told there would not be a problem with this. Tues 28 May 2013, Rochester wanted to charge an additional delivery fee. They said they were not aware we on the 11th floor, even though we made this clear when placing the order. The lady from Rochester was very rude & accused my friend of being a. We verbally cancelled the order & told them not to deliver. We never received any of the furniture. We also gave a written cancellation of the order to the Rochester branch in PE on Tues 28th. The manager faxed it to Head Office and told us we would get our full refund in 48 hours. Consumer Protection Act states that customers have the right to cancel any order for goods without being penalised. To date, over a month later, we have still received no refund. I have frequently sent emails & left messages with Warren & Darian from Head Office. Darian has never responded to any of my messages or emails. This is.
