I want to give my sincere thanks to Nomsa, a cashier at Waverley Plaza Pick 'n Pay. I was supposed to only buy 1 small thing, so I did not grab my purse on my way out of the house. I only had R100 with me. My father-in-law phoned me with a few requests and I was 50c short at the till. When I wanted to put something back, Nomsa, without hesitation or a blink in the eye, gave me a 50c out her own pocket. I was so embarrassed but she just smiled and continued as nothing was wrong.
I know 50c is not a lot, but it is the act of kindness that made an everlasting impression on me.
