About two days ago I stopped my Sansui Lifepad (which I purchased in January this year) from falling and did not bump it hard but the screen cracked. I phoned HI-Fi Corporation where I had purchased it from and they told me to bring it in. I did so and was promptly told that my warranty (of which I took out an extended warranty) would not cover the repairs and it would cost R1600 to repair... this amount is ridiculous considering that it is almost what I paid for the item. All it needs is a new screen, everything else works... the salesman promptly suggested that I rather purchase a new one. I am devastated as it took months of saving to be able to afford this one. When I contacted a Sansui repairer in Johannesburg she said that there have been several people with this problem. So if one is going to buy a Sansui Lifepad-- be warned their screens crack with the slightest bump!!
They were cold and indifferent to my situation. Don't bother paying for an extended warranty either!
So disappointed.
