I bought a Sansui Lifepad Etab701 in September 2012.. Two days ago my Lifepad's screen cracked due to heat.. At the time the Lifepad was plugged in and sitting on my desk. I contacted the Service Centre to report this fault and was told to contact the Supplier, Sylco, which I did to be told to take the Lifepad to Somerset West and it would be replaced. This morning after spending approx 1 hour at Hi-Fi Corporation I was told that the Supplier would not honour their agreement and that it was my fault that the screen was cracked so therefore no guarantee or replacement. This is a unit that cost over R1200.00, is 4 months old and was not dropped or sat on. I am disgusted with Hi-Corporation and their Suppliers and urge people to be aware that agreements and warranties are not honoured!!
